A highly promising growth market
India is one of the world’s main machine tool consumers, with an annual purchase value of around 285 million Euros (2007) for forming machines alone – most of them imported. The country enjoys a consistently high annual GDP growth of around 8%. Official statistics list approximately 500 major automotive suppliers, plus some 10,000 small suppliers and sub-contracting firms.
